The Box Show at Gallery Route One: Now Open!

For those of you who don't know, The Box Show at Gallery Route One in Point Reyes Station is a fundraising showcase where 150 artists receive a pine box to make an art piece around. According to Box Show rules "You can do anything to the box you want to, as long as part of the box remains in the final piece." This leaves tons of room for creativity and imagination to run wild! The finished art pieces are then auctioned off during the run of the exhibit, which is from July 24th to September 13th.

The money raised is used to support the non-profit gallery throughout the year and their community out reach programs, including the Latino Photography Project, Youth Fellowship, and Artisan Schools Program.

We're not the only ones who love the Box Show! Many of our customers at Dollhouses, Trains & More participate in the box show! Like Susan West (left) and La Ronda Bucciarelli (right)! La Ronda actually volunteers at the gallery for the box show and runs their online page for the show. To bid on a box, visit or call the gallery directly!

It is so great of you to share the information about the box show with your customers and friends. I think they would especially be interested in it and people that like miniature things always love the box show I also love to see people that are having a first-time box show experience because it really is the most fun that you can have at a gallery so we appreciate you and I appreciate the teeny-weeny little money that I got from your storefront box. thank you for sharing.
