Pocket Party February 2017 Class

Our February PPC Mini DIY class is scheduled for
Saturday, February 18th from 10 AM - 1 PM.

I have named this class Under Dome Art.  On a recent trip, I saw some under dome pieces which inspired me to try to come up with a mini version. If you do a web search, the vast array of dome glass art is overwhelming.  They vary widely from the grotesque to the glorious, from the macabre to the serene.  Here are just a few examples:

In class, we will be making two Under Glass Dome projects.

The first will be the mini Under Glass Dome project shown below. We will be providing EVERYTHING you need to make this for your dollhouse (it's 1" scale).

The second Under Glass Dome project display will be up to your imagination to fill.
This glass dome is 3 1/4" H at the center and 2 1/2" H on the outside. The glass dome base diameter is 1 3/4".  The glass dome sits on a wood base.
Bring the item(s) you wish to place in the dome with you to class.

  • I sure wish we could live in Marin again just to go to DTM for every need & every class. I am a miniaturist. Besides the many 1:12 scale vignettes I’ve made, we have a 21 foot long spooky Halloween Village with trains chugging thru it. But, alas, when my USMC hubby was retiring after 20 years of service we had to choose a place to accommodate wheelchair access on a daily basis for me, which meant a place with very few days of rain per year. Las Vegas, which also has an active military base. We had Kimberly House here then, but they are gone now. Dansey followed & now they’re gone. I belong to a miniatures club with 20 very active members. But oh, how I miss Marin. We will have to make a trip there to shop at your store where dreams come true, & hopefully coinciding with one of your classes.
